These items come from the collection of Ibrahim Mufti, a
handicrafts merchant based in Benghazi. From his atmospheric shop in the
Souq Dhalam, Mr Mufti continues the work of his father, Ahmed Mufti, who
opened the store in 1952. With branches in Apollonia, Misrata and Tripoli,
Mr Mufti has built a reputation as one of the best known and most popular
merchants in Libya.
